Assuming gas prices stay the same and my average consumption stays the same, I will spend nearly $1300 on gas for my car next year. Then, add in the monthly payments, the regular maintenance, and average out the down payment across the length of the loan. Lastly, add to that the extras I've bought (new speakers, amp, sub, window tint, winter wheels and tires, etc.) and I spend just under $10,000 a year on my car.
That's expensive.
