It's Christmas Eve and I'm at work updating a database. Hooray for me.

I said hooray.

I need a maid. And a basement. A garage would be helpful too.

Hey Santa, there's my Christmas list... see what you can do.

Installing insulation is fun. I especially love the fact that my attic ceiling is about 6 inches tall. Great!

Oh, I'm also hungry.

It appears I was prophetic in the last entry. Thome's gone. Does it really matter? No. The Indians wouldn't have been very good even if he had stayed. It does make Dolan look even cheaper though. Blah blah blah, who cares.

Well, I think that Cleveland can now officially kiss Jim Thome goodbye. Unless he really wants to stay in Cleveland as bad as he says he does, and for once an athelete is willing to put his money where his mouth is, then he will be on the plane to Philly.

To buy a Xbox or not to buy a Xbox. That is the question. On one hand, there is evidence (see PS2) that when I buy a console for 1 game, I do not play that console. On the same hand, there is evidence that I do not like Microsoft, and do not want them to take over the console market as they have done with the computer market. On the other hand, I want to play Gun Valkyrie.

Which hand wins? Tune it later. Same bat-time, same bat-channel.

Ryan Dowd. Ryan C. Dowd. Hey, it's Ryan Dowd. Ryan Dowd is searching for the name Ryan Dowd, otherwise known as Ryan C. Dowd, on the internet. Dowd, Ryan didn't have much luck. This may help the Dowd named Ryan.

I certainly do go months at a time before updating this thing.

Weeeeee!

Cedar Point is rumored to build a 420 foot Intamin launched coaster that goes 110 MPH. That is crazy. Hopefully someday soon they'll actually get around to announcing it.

I saw Spider-Man this weekend. It was good.

That is all.

Well, it looks like I'm not going to be winning any of my NCAA tournament brackets this year. I suppose it's still possible, but I don't think so. I have Maryland winning, but they're the only team I have in the Final Four. It should prove to be interesting at least.

What a bunch of whiners the Nets are. During the Cavs game last night Lamond Murray hit a three at the buzzer to give the Cavs the win and all of a sudden its a "controversial call" simply because the new darlings of the NBA lost. Give me a break. He clearly got the ball off in plenty of time. Stop your whining already.

I finally got around to watching Tomb Raider last night. I'd have to say that it wasn't worth the wait. In fact, it gets my rating of "I would probably return it if someone gave it to me as a gift." FYI, that's the third lowest rating that I can give a movie. Now that I'm on this tangent, I'll explain the whole rating scheme.

10. Definite Purchase
9. Probable Purchase
8. Would Purchase if I was in the mood and happened across it
7. Would ask for it as a gift because I might want to watch it again some day
6. Would accept as a gift / would pay money to rent
5. Would watch if it was on TV or someone else rented it
4. Would watch it on TV if there was nothing else on and I had nothing better to do
3. Would probably return it if I received it as a gift
2. Would definately return it if I received it as a gift, and I'd smack the person who gave it to my upside the head
1. Would immediately burn it upon receiving it as a gift, so as to remove the stench of evil from the Earth

There you have it, that's my rating for movies. Tomb Raider (otherwise known as Crap Raider or Suck Raider) gets a rating of 3.
Well, it's certainly been a while since I updated this. It didn't help that right when I was in the middle of updating regularly my web site stopped working for about 2 months. Anyway, on with the show...

Last night was the first night of the NCAA tournament, and there were the requisite number of upsets that no one thought would win. Holy Cross almost stunned #1 seeded Kansas, but the ref's couldn't allow that to happen, so all the calls down the stretch went KU's way. It's a shame too, because Kansas didn't deserve to win that game. Hopefully they'll bow out next round.
