There is an interesting discussion going on about a chess grand master (Short) who thinks that he has played Bobby Fischer anonymously over the internet. I think that would would be pretty cool. Fischer hasn't been seen or heard from since 1972, with the one exception of a match in 1992. If you're interested, you can check out this link.

Rocker pitched very well again last night. Hopefully he is getting his head back on straight. I also hope that they just gave Wickman the day off and not because he is hurt now. Finley pitched great, so maybe this year will be like 1997, only they win the World Series this year... you never know, stranger things have happened (like a baseball brawl over an earring for example).

Rocker just pitched a 1-2-3 inning for the first time in 9 games. Maybe this is the beginning of him getting his head on straight. Maybe not. Maybe his arm will fall off now. Wickman had some kind of problem with his side last night, and Colon hurt his elbow and groin last night, so it's only fitting.
That class last night was one of the most boring events I've been to in a long time. The only consolation was that there were some good looking women in it. One sitting right next to me, and one a few seats in front. Word of advice however.... if you're wearing a thong then don't wear pants that come down when you sit down.

Some of my friends that I went to college with were at Cedar Point on Friday and gave me a call. They wanted to stop by, but I had other people in for the weekend so they didn't come over. We had tried to set up something for Cedar Point for Labor Day weekend, but then plans fell through. They couldn't go that weekend, so we made other plans. Then they changed it around and could only go on Labor Day weekend. By that time we couldn't change our plans, so they went by themselves. Hopefully in the next week or two I'll be going to Cedar Point also, but I'm still not sure when.
I went to the air show on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. I would have watched the Blue Angels practice on Friday, but it was raining so they didn't fly. The show was pretty good. I sat in 2 different locations on the three days, the first and last day were near a bridge by East 55th, and the second day was at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The best parts of the show were the B1 Lancer fly by's and the Blue Angels. Sound was better at the Rock Hall, but at the bridge we were right across from center point, so the visuals were better there. My legs got toasted on Saturday, so I had to wear pants the next two days. Other than that, I managed to come out ok.
