I play for the Indians.
Here in Cleveland? I didn't know they still had a team!
Yup, we've got uniforms and everything, it's really great!
It's baseball time again in Cleveland, so naturally that means it's time for another snowstorm. There's nothing quite like watching baseball in a blizzard.
The ball is a bit harder to follow, so you get to be entertained by people dropping like flies as they get hit in the heads with foul balls.
So far, I've got no complaints about the Indians. I think they could do some damage this year. The AL Central will certainly be difficult however. The reduced expectations could actually help them though. I think that the top 4 teams in the AL Central could all be within 6 games of each other at the end of the season. I doubt that any one team is really going to run away with anything. I'm also skeptical of the Tigers. I think that they're a one year wonder, and I have them finishing fourth. They'll still be good, just that their pitching will not be close to last year.
Here's my official predictions for the AL Central
1. Indians
2. White Sox
3. Twins
4. Tigers
5. Royals

Call me a pessimist, but I think my Sox will be lucky win more than 81 games this year. Their pitching blows.
I think the Indians will do well this year too. Who knows, maybe they will win the World Series with only an 86 win season...
In 1997 when the Indians were 2 outs away from winning the World Series, they only had 86 wins in the regular season.
All you need to do is get to the playoffs. After that, records are out the window.
Tim - I agree with your assessment. Peter Gammons "loves" the Tigers but I just don't see it. Yeah, they're a good team but there are too many good teams in the division and I think the Indians have gone through the turmoil they need to to be a good squad. Almost making it in 2005 and then taking a step back in 2006 is sometimes the pain you need to focus.
I go:
Indians
Twins
Tigers
White Sox
Royals
