BMW Night Vision

BMW has released a video of the BMW 7 Series Night Vision System. It shows two incredibly intelligent people that are jogging and roller-blading in the pitch black.

The Indians stink right now. There's still plenty of time for their hurt pitchers to come off the DL, but right now the pitching is ridiculous. They got swept by the Royals. Yes, the Kansas City Royals. I know. I just found out they still existed too.

I changed the thought of the day after Paul complained. I wonder if he'll like it.

I predict the Cavs will lose the series to the Pistons 4 games to 1. In those 4 losses, they could very well be by 40 points each. In the 1 victory, it will be by 3 points or less. The Cavs play exactly ZERO defense. They also refuse to run after a make or a miss. That is their only hope against the Pistons. Detroit will be only too happy to watch the sucky Cavs shooters throw up 60 shots from 15 or more feet away. I predict I will be very irritated at the game within 5 minutes and will then turn it off.

I got some more news about my Grandmother. In a good sign, she doesn't show any of the related symtoms typically found in cancer patients. That may mean that it's still early on and can be completely removed by surgery. Also, the biopsy is apparently coming back Wednesday or Thursday, and then they will schedule surgery for as early as Friday. I was originally told surgery could be Wednesday, but that's not the case.

Cancer unfortunately runs in the family though, as one of her sisters died of breast cancer, and one of her brothers died of lung cancer, so here's hoping for the best.

I just got terrible news. My grandmother found out she has cancer today. Surgery is either Wednesday or Thursday. The doctors don't know if it's contained or if it's spread, and won't know until after the surgery. I don't know much more than that at this point.

Here it is, Cinco De Mayo, and I am still at work. My non-Mexican heritage is fuming with rage at this injustice!

When an athlete comments on how much they love a particular place and says that they don't want to leave, then turns around and takes more money someplace else, they should not be expected to be seen as a returning conquering hero when they get back to their previous home town city.

You the athlete can control your own situation. I don't blame you for taking more money, but I do blame you for talking about how much you want to stay and then you leave anyway.

That is why you get booed upon returning and a player that gets traded to another team will be cheered when they return because that situation was out of their control.

For specific examples, see Kenny Lofton during the 1997 All-Star game when he came back after being traded to Atlanta. He got a standing ovation. For the other side, witness Jim Thome and Johnny Damon. They both said they wanted to stay and then took more money to go elsewhere and got booed when they came back.
